About the MySay Healthcare Survey

The MySay Healthcare Survey is a questionnaire used by WA health to monitor patient experience after an inpatient admission, an outpatient appointment, a community service appointment or an emergency department presentation.

The MySay Healthcare Survey Steering Committee was established in 2021 to provide oversight in the implementation of state-wide patient experience surveys. The membership of the committee includes staff from all Health Service Providers and the Department of Health.

We are seeking a consumer representative to provide their feedback and input so that we can ensure that the consumer voice is heard and reflected in decisions about the collection and sharing of patient experience data across the system to drive improvement.

What is involved:

  • The MySay Steering Committee meets monthly, with each meeting lasting for 1 hour.
  • Information will be provided to you before and during the meetings for you to comment on and share your ideas.
  • There may be a need for further additional meetings, and/or responses to information sent by email.
  • Meetings will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams during business hours on a weekday, dates and times to be advised.
  • Consumer Representatives will be renumerated for their time.

  • Preferred applicants:

  • Previous experience in working group/committee work as an active participant
  • People with lived experience as a public health service consumer
  • People with a strong desire to advocate for the use of patient experience data to drive improvements in the healthcare system
