Rockingham Peel Group (RKPG) is looking for local community members for the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) to provide support and advice to RKPG and help improve the patient experience. We are welcoming all applications including from:

  • Aboriginal communities
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • People with disability.

What is a Consumer Advisory Council?

The Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) is a formal partnership between consumer and carer representatives and Rockingham Peel Group. Consumer and carer representatives usually have lived experience of using health services.

What is involved?

The CAC meets at Rockingham Hospital monthly on the second Thursday of every month for two (2) hours. The CAC provide support and advice to RKPG staff to improve the hospital experience for patients, carers, families and other hospital consumers.

What is provided?

  • Training costs are included.
  • Remuneration of $37.50 per hour, with a minimum two-hour payment for each meeting.
  • Access to debriefing and support as needed.
