Did you nominate a staff member?

Patient Experience Week 2024 was an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge how our staff can have a positive impact on the experience that consumers, carers and family members have of our health service.

This year, we received over 80 nominations for staff across our hospitals and community services.

These were stories about the compassionate care people have received, with strong themes of empathy, warmth, and supportive helpful attitudes weaved throughout.

The nominations were evaluated by a panel of five people that included consumer representatives.

A huge congratulations to 30 staff members who were selected from the nominations. Recipients were presented with a Compassionate Care Award badge to wear with pride at ceremonies at each SMHS hospital.

Thank you for your nominations!
